Spiritual Enrichment invites everyone to gather weekly to reflect on the gospel of the day. Please join us to reflect, pray, and grow in faith together. While there will be copies of the gospel available, we invite you to bring your own bible. Please bring your own lunch. Beverages will be available.
Wednesdays, St. James Chapel, 12 to 1 pm. Daily Readings Please note: Brown Bag Lunch and Prayer is using a version of Lectio Divina.
A Lectio Divina group is a small group that opens a Scripture passage to read, meditate, pray, and quietly rest in God’s loving presence. It’s a spiritual formation group that facilitates listening to God and spiritual conversation.
A Lectio Divina group is not a Bible study, which focuses on cognitive learning and people sharing their ideas and opinions about Scripture.
We will read the gospel of the day and reflect on the following in silence:
What is one word or phrase the Holy Spirit impresses on you?
What do you feel? What specific situation in your life today relates?
What is Christ’s personal invitation to you from the Scripture?
Silent Prayer In Lectio Divina groups, sharing in silent prayer can be a bonding experience. It’s an opportunity for group members to hold one another in Christ’s loving presence.
